Farrow to Fork

Our heritage breed pigs are bred and born here on our farm. They are raised without hormones, steroids, or fed antibiotics. They are finished on pasture, grains, and hay produced locally in the U.P. Our pigs are Red Wattle (listed by the Livestock Conservancy as a rare heritage breed) and Hampshire (a lean docile heritage breed) crossed with Berkshire, a heritage breed renowned for its exquisite marbling and depth of flavor in the meat. They are considered by some chefs to be the tastiest heritage pigs, described as floral and robust, concentrated and bold.

In 2021-26, over 95% of the feed our pigs ate was grown right here in Ontonagon County! The finished pork that we currently are offering customers is soy free. We custom grind and mix all of our own feed ourselves using a 50 year old grinder-mixer to blend grain, minerals, vitamins, and lime into locally produced grains.

We plant a diversity of forages in our pastures for the pigs to graze. We rotationally graze them in our pastures throughout the grazing season. In the winter, we supplement their diet with hay and silage.

All natural, pasture raised pork available by the whole or half pig by the hanging weight plus butchering/ processing costs.

Please contact us to order. The deposit required to reserve ½ pork is $100 or whole pork is $200, due with your purchase agreement upon ordering.
